The Wind Ensemble at Booker T. Washington High School for the Performing and Visual Arts strives to develop the highest level of musicianship through the performance and reading of challenging wind band literature.
The Booker T. Washington Wind Ensemble has been a consistent University Interscholastic League Concert & Sight-Reading Sweepstakes winner and has made 2 appearances at Carnegie Hall (2016, 2020).
The Booker T. Washington Wind Ensemble has appeared in the UIL State Wind Ensemble Festival, been a national winner in the Mark of Excellence recording project, and has won first division ratings in national festivals in Texas and Missouri.
