The Opera Workshop promotes an understanding of operatic selections among young singers as well as developing their talents though classical vocal music.

 

This is a performance driven class.  How better to hone the craft than to actually do it?  We perform scenes,  arias, choruses, and/or full length operas in their original language.

• Aria Competition featuring arias by Conti, Copland, Gershwin, Handel, Massenet, Menotti, Mozart, Purcell, and Rodgers/Hammerstein; and overtures by Mozart, Verdi, and Weber (2024)
• Sir Arthur Sullivan, Jack and the Beanstalk (2024)
• Choruses from Carmen, Nabucco, Porgy and Bess, and Tosca (2023)
• Jasmine Barnes, Star Arts High (world premiere, 2022)
